Senior Procurement Officer

Responsibilities

The Senior Procurement Officer will support the Finance Manager and Director of Corporate Services in delivering an effective procurement function

16.18 per hour

9 months temporary with possible extension.

The Ideal Person

· A relevant Professional Qualification, such as full membership of CIPS AND at least two years’ relevant* experience working in a procurement and/or purchasing and supply environment at a staff officer or equivalent grade in a public or private organisation. *This experience should be within a procurement function i.e. the candidate is expected to have experience in the day-to-day management of the procurement function, including the development and implementation of policies and responsible for staff management.

· Demonstrable knowledge of e-TendersNI and public sector procurement

· High level communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels using different mediums.

· Good organisational skills and ability to organise a busy workload to deliver effective results on time.

· Ability to lead, manage and motivate others through change and in challenging circumstances.

· Ability to work under pressure to address and meet conflicting priorities.

· Ability to take a responsive and customer focused approach to work.

· Ability to use own initiative and judgement to solve problems and respond to others (internal and external to the office).
