We are currently recruiting for a Regulation Analyst to start asap with Northern Ireland Civil Service based in Belfast City Centre.  The below role will be starting asap subject to approval of your CV, the vetting process, an Access NI background check and proof of your relevant qualifications to qualify.  

 

Duration:   10 months with possible extension.

Hours of work:  37 hours per week.  Monday to Friday.  Flexi available. 

The offices of the Utility Regulator are open for business between the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday – Friday. Staff may avail of “flexi-time” provided that it meets with the business need, with flexible start and finish times outside the core hours of 10am to 4pm.

 

Rate of pay:  To be confirmed.  

 

Job duties:

Working as a Regulation Analyst, you will provide analysis and advice relating to a number of aspects of utility regulation.  You will work across a variety of functions within a team-based environment and contribute to the delivery of Utility Regulator aims and objectives. This role is well suited to persons with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills paired with excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of governance. Any experience in the energy or water sector, or understanding of the legal and regulatory framework underpinning the utility regulation would be an advantage

 

Criteria:

  1. Experience of analysing complex financial/numerical and written/qualitative information from a wide variety of sources in a complex environment to implement policy or commercial goals.
  2. Experience of analysing and advising on policy or economic and/or technical considerations relevant to a policy or business environment or regulated sector.
  3. Experience of collaborative working and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.

 

Desirable:

Experience of project management.
