Beef and Sheep Stockperson
3 months post (possibility of extension)
37 hour post (Monday – Friday)
Job Duties
- Ensure the care and welfare of cattle and sheep.
- Feeding, fertility practices in beef cattle
- Administrating vaccines. medicines
- Maintaining and recording animal health, herd breeding records, grazing records.
- Maintenance of grazing grounds
- Driving and use of machinery for feeding cattle
- Grassland management
- Assist technical staff with research trials
You will have:
- Previous experience with beef cattle or sheep
- Current UK Driving license
- Competent driving and operate tractors including use on steep undulating fields
- Experience with synchronization and AL protocols (Preferred not essential)
- Manual handling certificate handling certificate (Preferred not essential)
- Trailer License (Preferred not essential)
