Building Maintenance Supervisor – Lisburn

Role until November 2021

£14.38 per hour 


Job Duties

  • Participate in producing an annual budget to cover the Building Maintenance Section and work within the allocated
  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Building Maintenance Section to include planned and reactive work and to make sure that all operational procedures are carried out effectively. This will include the provision of technical support for special events. Implement and update work schedules on an ongoing basis in order to allocate resources sufficient to maintain the required
  • Provide technical support for special events throughout the year, to include ensuring appropriate numbers of trained staff are engaged and suitable equipment and materials are available for each specific event from site build and takedown and all other technical aspects of the event, planning and liaising with contractors, staff, health and safety advisors and public through event meetings, site visits and
  • Responsible for play park maintenance, carry out operational inspections, record findings, monitoring contractors, ordering spares and dealing with public / councillor complaints. Overseeing the daily running of play park inspections and repairs by the play park inspectors. Write and prepare risk assessments and prepare safe method of work statements to minimise level of risk as far as is reasonably practicable.


You will have:


  • 5 GCSE at grade A-C, a relevant supervisory qualification at NVQ level 3 or
  • A minimum of three years’ supervisory experience within the building industry
  • Demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience in the following areas:
  • Line management experience for a team of employees;
  • Setting work schedules and arranging deployment of employees to allocated work
