We are recruiting a Business Support Manager to join our team in Lisburn 

  • £18.53 per hour 
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday 
  • Initially until June 2022 

Job duties:

  • Co-ordinate business services within the Department;
  • In accordance with legislative requirement, Corporate Plan, strategies and policies ensure that all relevant needs and priorities as set out in the Departmental business plan are met;
  • Monitor services so as to ensure these are delivered efficiently and effectively whilst striving at all times for continuous improvement and transformation of overall services;
  • Work closely with the Heads of Service and other Business Support Managers to support the delivery of corporate and community planning outcomes and other strategic priorities to promote the corporate and community outcomes for the area;
  • Develop strong relationships with partner organisations and relevant stakeholders to promote outcome focused and community centred service

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To facilitate and develop budget control measures for the Director, striving at all times for continuous improvement,
  2. To facilitate and coordinate the annual estimates process across the Department;
  3. To facilitate and co-ordinate internal and external audit arrangements across the Department
  4. To facilitate and coordinate the Departmental Business Plans and Performance Improvement Plans
  5. To facilitate and coordinate the Departmental Risk Register and Business Continuity Plans and associated procedures;
  6. To facilitate and develop Business Improvement Methodologies in conjunction with the Director of Leisure and Community Wellbeing;
  7. To track progress within the Department and provide assistance and reports on matters including:
  • KPI tracking and updates
  • Freedom Of Information response tracking
  • Insurance claims
  • Internal audit recommendations
  • Corporate Assurance
  • Procurement and contracts including business cases and economic appraisals

Essential Criteria:

  1. A third level qualification e.g. (Degree or NVQ level 4, HNC, HND qualification) in Business Administration, Business Management or a related discipline
  2. Three years relevant experience in a same/similar role to include the following experience; Budget control, Auditing processes in a large organisation, Performance improvement, Risk management, Business continuity, Preparation and drafting of financial and management reports for a range of audiences
