Job Description
Teaching Level 1 and Level 2 Essential skills in Application of number, Communication or ICT to apprentices at various sites across NI
Complete diagnostic assessments
Monitor apprentice progress
Enter apprentices for examinations
Liaise with admin for registration and certification with students
Monitor attendance
Input into apprenticeship reviews for students
Liaise with programme teams on performance of students and attendance
Planning for and delivering numeracy and literacy / ICT Essential skills
Attendance at team meetings
Suitable candidate required to hold a full driving license
Criteria
GCSE (or equivalent) in English (Grade A* – C) or Essential Skills Level 2 in Communication; and GCSE in Maths (Grade A* – C) or Essential Skills Level 2 in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules;
and for delivering Essential Skills Literacy: A degree, of which English forms a minimum of 50% of the subject studied,
for delivering Essential Skills Numeracy: A degree of which Mathematics forms a minimum of 50% of the subject studied,
for delivering Essential Skills ICT: A degree of which ICT forms a minimum of 50% of the subject studied, or
Full-time and part-time Essential Skills lecturers/tutors, who were in employment and recognised as qualified by the Department prior to 1st August 2012
