Premiere People working with Flogas Ireland has an exciting opportunity for Filling Plant Operatives to join our team in Belfast.
Working as part of Cylinder Business Unit you will be responsible for the safe filling and
distribution of cylinders to meet daily demand and to ensure gas deliveries are made on time to
Main areas of responsibilities
The safe operating of LPG terminal valves for delivery of products from storage vessels to the
cylinder filling plant.
The safe loading/unloading of cylinder vehicles
The safe operating of equipment required for filling, weighing, sealing, de-valving and handling of
Propane and Butane cylinders.
Inspection and quality checks on filled Propane and Butane cylinders.
Additional duties as required.
Experience: experience in a general operations role for 1 – 2 years is desirable but not essential
Role specific (technical) knowledge / skills:
Good Communication / Interpersonal skills
Forklift License (Counterbalance) – desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
Excellent understanding of health and safety.
Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
Ability to keep accurate daily records.
Ability to work overtime or on a shift pattern if required (early morning/after hours)
Ideally would be looking for candidates from a labouring/operational background as the work is labour intensive and involves manual handling/lifting.
Operatives hourly rate is paid at £9.50.
Normal working hours are 39 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm (30mins lunch and 2 x 15mins breaks – nonpaid) – 8 hours
Friday 8am to 4pm (30mins lunch and 2 x 15mins breaks – nonpaid) – 7 hours
At peak times operatives will be asked to work overtime (either early mornings – 2 hours, evenings – 2 hours or Saturdays – 4 hours) – rate is paid at time and a half.
