Our client, a leading public sector organisation, based in Belfast are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team.

The role is available immediately for 6 months with possibility of extension.

Hourly Pay: £10- £11 per hour

37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice processing onto Pegasus Opera (average 30 invoices per week)
  • Maintain a purchase order register
  • Process employee expense claims
  • Process weekly Bacs payment via Pegasus Opera & Danske bank
  • Assist Finance Officer with Sales ledger invoices (average 10 per month)
  • Document Management (filing) for all purchase ledger transactions
  • Support the Finance team with general administration as and when required

Essential Criteria:

The successful candidate will have:

  1. At least 1 year’s experience in a finance office in the following area:

 

  1. Purchase ledger and/ or employee expenses

 

  1. Have 1 year’s experience in the use of Pegasus Opera, Sage accounting or similar accountancy package system in a busy finance office;

 

  1. Proven ability of multi tasking and within a busy environment including working to tight deadlines;

 

  1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

 

  1. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in the use of Excel;

 

  1. Excellent attention to detail;

 

  1. Excellent numeracy skills;

    8. Excellent oral & written communication skills
