Essential

Criterion 1

Applicants must have a degree or post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources or Business Studies.

Criterion 2

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

Proven track record of working within a large multi disciplinary organisation.
Criterion 3

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Successful management of a HR function and advising stakeholders on key operational issues within a unionised organisation.

Criterion 4

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Taking the lead role in the consultation and negotiation with Trade Unions delivering positive outcomes for the organisation.

Criterion 5

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Proven track record of provision of HR implications during a period of organisational change.

Criterion 6

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that are aligned to corporate priorities and in accordance with legislation and best practice.

Criterion 7

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Effective management of staff in accordance with the principles of performance management and personal development.

Criterion 8

Please demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, that you have at least three year’s (5 years’ if you do not have the academic requirement in Criteria 1) experience working within a HR management role delivering in the following area:

· Experience of effectively working with a range of internal or external stakeholders including Trade Unions.

Criterion 9

All candidates must hold Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development status or be able to evidence that they will hold this status within 6 months of commencement of employment.

Criterion 10

Hold a full current driving licence to drive within Northern Ireland and access to a form of transport that meets the needs of the post in full OR have access to a form of transport which enables the applicant to meet the full requirements of the post in full.* (*This relates to any person who has declared that they have a disability which debars them from driving).
