Our client, a leading public sector organisation, based in Belfast are looking to recruit a Human Resources Business Partner to join their team.

The role is available immediately for 6 months.

Hourly Pay: £16.18

37 hours per week Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR Manager in the development, achievement and evaluation of people strategies and objectives, encompassing attraction, recruitment, induction, performance management, engagement, reward, retention, and culture and talent development.

 

  • To support the HR Manager drive a performance culture and develop high performing leaders, employees and teams.

 

  • Assist in developing, monitoring and regular reporting to senior management on key People performance indicators, management processes and compliance frameworks and taking action to achieve improved service delivery and business objectives whilst appropriately controlling and mitigating risk.

 

  • Manage a small team to provide a professional HR service to managers. Deliver all aspects of day to day transactional HR including, inter-alia, recruitment competitions, health & safety and compliance with HR policies.

 

  • Process payroll and develop pay remits for approval by the Department for Communities.

 

  • Support development of a fully integrated HR and financial IT system.

 

  • Management of the organisation’s accommodation ensuring that buildings are maintained in a safe condition.

 

  • To fulfil other duties and responsibilities, as determined by line management, that fall within the general responsibilities of the post.

Essential Criteria:

 

The successful candidate must by the closing date for applications:

  1. Have membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development for at least 3 years; AND

  2. A minimum of 3 years’ recent experience of providing a successful and value added HR advisory service to managers; AND

  3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience of supporting organisations, senior managers and teams through organisational change; driving a performance culture and developing high performing leaders, employees and teams; AND

  4. A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing candidate recruitment and selection activities

 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a small team to provide a professional HR service to managers; delivering all aspects of day to day transactional HR including, inter-alia, recruitment competitions, health & safety and compliance with HR policies; AND/OR

  2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience developing a HR IT system. Experience of developing a fully integrated HR and finance system would be preferred.
