Research Assistant – Hillsborough

Monday – Friday

£16.18 per hour

Job duties:

Sourcing collating and analysing AMU data related to livestock systems in Northern Ireland through collaboration with stakeholders, veterinary software and supply organisations and producer surveys. This includes – study design and planning, developing appropriate data and partnership agreements in conjunction with statistical analysis and report/paper writing
Ensuring that project milestones are met and contributing to project planning meetings
Liaison with task leads and project partners
Liaision with external data suppliers and stakeholders, as well as with statisticians analysing data within the project
Data preparation of reports (for project meetings, seminars and conferences) and preparation of refereed papers targeting high-quality journals
Presentation of the project to a range of audiences

You will have:

Academic qualifications at PhD level in animal, veterinary or agricultural science or related field (or intending to submit PhD for examination within 3 months)
Experience in designing experiments and project management
Experience in data handling and data analysis
Excellent written communication research results as evidenced by publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings
