Scientific Officer – Lisburn

Job duties:
- Procurement of Pollution Response Equipment (PRE) upon request from Line Management and in compliance with current Departmental Procurement Procedures.
- Assist with the maintenance, testing and the deployment of PRE in line with set schedules and manufacturers requirements.
- Assist with the management/maintenance of Field Area Pollution Response Trailers.
- Assist in the Department’s response to reports of water Pollution
- Support contingency exercises.
- Maintain personal health and safety requirements.
- Provide Pollution Response Equipment upon request following procedures.
- Assist with arranging annual servicing of lifejackets
You will have:
- 4 GCSE’s including Maths & English
- 6 months relevant experience in the last 5 years practical experience of working in a scientific field appropriate to the business area where the opportunity exists
- Valid UK driving license
